THE LATEST UPDATE FOR OUR SKY VIEW MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH FAMILY – MARCH 18, 2020

Our Sky View leadership (Wendell, Gary, Austin and our deacons) met Tuesday evening and will be meeting, in the weeks to follow, to seek the Lord for the good of Sky View and the mission the Lord has given us.  You can expect emails, Facebook posts and www.svmbc.com updates each week to share updates and resources as we try to help our church family worship at home and care for one another and our community at large.

FOR THE NEXT TWO SUNDAYS, (March 22 and March 29) we will NOT be meeting in person at our Sky View facility.  We exercise faith not just when we gather, but also when we submit to our government when they are looking out for the common good.  Paul tells us in Romans 13:1 “Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God…”  Our governor and the CDC has stated that there should be no gathering of people greater than ten.  Therefore, we will abide by their decision.  We will let you know about decisions for future meetings as soon as the decisions are made.  We will use the best information and CDC/Government recommendations as well as best practices to make decisions and of course lots of prayer.

Watch your inboxes, Facebook and our church website for information about our future meetings.  Plan on gathering with your family around the computer at 8:30 AM this Sunday morning for a time of worship as Pastor Wendell continues his series through Ecclesiastes.  Please share this information with your family and friends and help us Proclaim the wonderous story of Jesus!

Let us thank the Lord for the opportunity we have to gather through technology for the next few weeks.  Please remember that your tithes and offerings will allow us to continue proclaiming the wonderous story of Jesus!  You can mail your checks to Sky View Missionary Baptist Church, 129 Skyview Dr., Fancy Gap, VA  24328.

Don’t hesitate to CONTACT US with prayer requests and needs.  We look forward to being able to join together as a church body soon!

Blessings,

Pastor Wendell
